The world's Tallest statue of Shirdi Sai Baba is located in Repur Village, near Kakinada Town, in East Godawari District of Andhra Pradesh State, India.
The work for this ambitious project was commenced in the year 2001. The work on this project went on at a slow pace and it took 11 years to complete. The wonderful statue of Sai Baba which is 116 feet high was unveiled on 1st January 2012.
This statue is made of Cement and Concrete and weighs about 1000 tonnes. The project is reported to have cost about Rs.2.50 crores.
Below the foot of this statue, a cellar has been constructed and this is to be filled with 1000 crores sheets of paper containing Sai Nama Japam in coming years.
Since the statue is so high and located in a village , it can be seen from a very long distance.
